Devotions & Worship

Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it

—they will be blessed in what they do.

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.  And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

2 Corinthians 3

Dear Lord, I am changed. The old me has passed away and you have blessed me with a new life – in you! Praise your holy name. You are worthy, father. Today is a new day to glorify, honor and praise you, Jesus. i love you so much. Thank you for another day to serve you. Please use me, father, make me less and please be more in my life. In Jesus name, amen.

For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.  Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us,  set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.

2 Corinthians 1

Dear Lord, I am filled to overflowing. Your promises are “yes and amen”. Service for you is so full of joy. I love you so much. Please use me, Father, Please allow the service to continue and please help me stay in Your will. I am so thankful to live this life and to take care of the Temple of the Holy Spirit, to read Your Word and deepen my love for You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for God’s temple is sacred, and you together are that temple.

1 Corinthians 3

Dear Lord, Thank you for reminding me that the things of the world are weak and withering away. You are eternal and powerful and worthy of praise. Thank you for reminding me that we are the temple of the Holy Spirit. You are indwelling. I must care and protect the temple. Please help me do that better. I submit to you Father, Thank you for being my Guide. I love you so much. In Jesus’ name, amen.

“Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.

Isaiah 1:18

Praise the Lord for His redeeming power over sin. I am so thankful that I worship the one and only God, the Creator of the universe. It is my honor to give Him all glory and praise.

Some of you say, “We can do anything we want to.” But I tell you not everything is good for us. So I refuse to let anything have power over me.

1 Corinthians 6:12

I humbly remember that sin entered the world because food was tempting. It looked so tempting and delicious, yet, it promised something so sinful and destructive. What a complete let down. The result of eating something we shouldn’t was ultimately harsh and painful for all of humanity. Food is fuel. What am I fueling my body with? Am I focused on the redeeming power found in The Bread of Life, or the Living Water? Jesus redeemed the first sin by describing himself as food. We use food in our communion to remember that his body was broken and his blood destroys all sin and death. AMEN.

I choose to destroy the tempting and destructive worldly view on food. It creates obesity, disease, pain and depression. I am going to focus on Jesus and the power he has to heal my body and help me focus on the life he desires for me. He desires for me to be strong, courageous, bold and loving. He wants me to crave good fuel. That begins with a loving and tender walk with Him. Choosing The Bread of Life over junk. Amen.

“Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20

Get fit with Jesus – Alpha Omega Temple Fitness. I do life better when I begin and end my day with Jesus. It carries me all day long. If I am weak in body, I am weak in mind. I don’t want to feel weak, I desire strength that comes from spending time in the Word and restoring my soul.

to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace

Ephesians 1:5-7

I woke up remembering that I am redeemed. Praise God for His redemptive power. The terrible sins of my life are destroyed by the power of Jesus, creating himself as a simple man – divinity power of all creation, walked with us – subject to death on a cross. His power exemplified when he rose again and conquered death, death did not take him, he allowed the entire thing to happen in his own will so that God would be glorified in this great act of love. Overwhelming.

We are redeemed. We worship you Father for the Greatness that you are, the Alpha and Omega. The beginning and the end. You are forever to be praised. Amen.

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.

Yup, that sums it up. You are awesome God, and so I will not fear. I will trust you and know that you will be with me each step of the way. Thank you Jesus. Praise your Holy Name!

I love you, Lord, my strength.

 The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer;
my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge,
my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

Psalm 18

The problems, the sin, all stem because I forgot to fear the Lord. How? How could I forget? How do I not tremble, fall, crumble? Sin, that is how powerful it is. It grips me. Jesus is the only answer. He is my rock and my foundation. He is my deliverer. I can only be released by the grips of sin through my Savior and my Strength. All praise and honor to my God, I fear you Lord out of a new found love and respect. The morning is new, this day is a gift and you have restored my soul. You are my Rock. All other ground is sinking sand. I submit to you Father. I remember the temple. I remember the indwelling Holy Spirit. So powerful are you Lord, and yet, you dwell within, and yet, I still forget. Help me Father, help me stay and remain in You. I love you so much Lord. You have done so much and I continue to stumble. I humbly ask for your help, to continue on the path to righteousness. To shine in the light of your Love. You are perfect Jesus, and I pray to honor you in what I do. Help me be less and may you please be more in my life. Please help me help others, please take what I say, what I act and what I think – motivate me by the power of the Holy Spirit to be my only guide. I love you so much. In Jesus name, Amen.

You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.  Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die.  But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 5

Happy Mother’s Day! Enjoy the miracle blessings of the day, rich in love – perfect love from our Father in Heaven. Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say, Rejoice!

Dear Lord, I have no idea why you saw fit for me to be a mom. It’s the most incredible gift you have ever given me. Those miracles are such a reminder that you love us so much. Please bless them to love you forever, to stay close to you and never drift away. Help them develop their own relationship with you that they crave and desire. We love you so much Jesus, we do not deserve your love, yet, you died to save us. Hell is that bad, your love is that great, and we love you back. We thank you for saving us from destruction. Thank you for creating yourself as a man, for that amazing miracle, for dying, another mind melting miracle, and for conquering death to offer all of us eternal life with you in Heaven. You are such a great God, so perfectly full of mystery and awe. It’s wonderful to be awestruck by your great love Father, thank you. I worship you and glorify you, thank you for this day. In Jesus’ Name, amen.

Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.

Philippians 4

That has been my life-verse lately. The Bible teaches me how to think and therefore teaches me how to speak. When I focus my mind on what God wants me to think about, things that are true, noble, just, pure, lovely, of good report, virtuous, praiseworthy, & all things of God. When I keep my mind focused on those things, then what I say should also be of those things. Praise on my lips.

Dear Lord, please fill my mind with thoughts of you. Help me remember that you are in control of everything. Help me remember that focusing on the world distracts me from praising you. You are captain of the ship. Where you lead me I will follow. Thank you for the blessings in my life. Please use me to help others Father. Please change my words to be encouraging, uplifting and pointing people to you. Please help me reflect you at all times. You are such a gracious and powerful God. Thank you for Jesus and for his great love for us. For dying on the cross for my sins. I repent of my sins Father, please help me be more patient, more creative and more fun. Please help me be a better wife and a better mom and help me raise champions that crave you their entire lives, help them never waiver and never doubt Your Great Love for them. I love you so much Jesus, In your powerful and loving name, Amen.

For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.  Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.

Romans 8

Dear Lord, you are such a good God, thank you for the Bible, thank you that it is full of hope and promises.  Thank you that you saw fit to save us from our sin and grime and make us new in You. This new life is so amazing.  We crave you Jesus. Thank you for helping us live more like you by changing us.  We don’t change, we just submit to the Holy Spirit and allow Him to make the big changes in us.  Thank you for doing all the hard work Lord, we are just children and we are so weak – but you make us strong.  We are nothing without You and we ask for you to fill us today, to guide us, to speak for us, to revive us fully in you.  You are such a loving Father and we love to pray to you. We love speaking with you and we love loving you.  It is the best part of every moment.  We surrender Jesus.  We are at your feet as your children, please teach us how to do life better by opening up your Word to us and revealing more of who You are.  We love you so much, In Jesus’ Name amen.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ

Ephesians 1:3

The best way to start the week and the day is to Praise God and acknowledge his glory, honor and faithfulness. He has blessed us abundantly. We have life and life more abundant when we walk with Jesus. When we wake up and say. thank you, we pay respect to a God who sees fit to give us the morning. Today is a gift.

I learned a great lesson yesterday at church. The teaching from Pastor Dave was great, What Happens When We Die. But that wasn’t the only lesson I had to learn. I heard His voice and I didn’t do exactly what He told me to do. I obeyed on my own terms. I heard His voice, felt uncomfortable and I modified his command and my actions to suit my own comfort level. I didn’t listen fully. I was also able to see what would have happened if I did. Thank you, Jesus, for the lesson. Help me in my unbelief.

Today is a new day and I am chastised, I am taught. I need to turn from my fears, from my ego, from my insecurities and trust God and listen. I want to listen and obey the commands of the Holy Spirit. When He spurs me to do something, I must obey or I will miss out on amazing Spiritual blessings. He is real. Praise God almighty. He is alive.

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.  Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.  Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.

And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.  To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen.

1 Peter 6-11

Lord help me in my trial. Please raise me up out of the mire. Help me be full of Your Spirit and Your Power to overcome. The enemy is strong. You are stronger. You are Alpha and Omega. You are over all, over the storm, over the pain, over the darkness. Help me see your light and shine bright as you see fit. Please be my guide in all things. Please fill me with your grace and mercy as you always do. I am not worthy. I will never be worthy, you are worthy Father. You are the only One who is worthy. I worship you and I praise you. Even as I speak your name, you have filled me. What a wonderful God you are. You calm the storm. You walk on water. Help me not to doubt. Help me always to seek you and keep my eyes focused on you. You are the bright and morning star. Help me live in prayer with you today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

2 Chron. 7:14

I was just reading my Bible and was searching for this verse. It’s so rich in context – Solomon crying out to God for redemption and God answering…

We must cry out! Praise Him while we are on our knees in trials and triumphs. We are here to love Him and bring glory to Jesus and no other reason. The world cannot satisfy. Only Jesus sisters.

Dear Lord please nurture our relationship with You. Please make us crave You over any other thing. That you may be glorified above all in every aspect of our lives. Help us bring You into our rebuilt temples. Help us glorify You inside the walls of our lives. And when we do that that you may enter and shine through and heal our land. Heal our families and shine through to help heal others. Break down the walls of the world and make us fresh and new for You. We love you so much Father. We repent. We turn from our wicked ways. We are on our knees. We will pray. We will study The Word. We will worship. We will speak of you. We will fill our lives with You Father. To you be all the glory, honour and praise. Forever and ever, in Jesus’ name amen 🙏🏻

I love you sisters. This is how we fight our battles!!!

HAIL!

Prayer:

Dear Lord, help us not to exalt ourselves in any way. Help us to humble ourselves before you and before others. Help us to live lowly in spirit, and while doing that, dwell with you, all day long, to walk meekly with you in your exalted holiness, by an increasing humility in our hearts. In Jesus name, Amen
